The museum presents the entire story: the artist, the context, Van Gogh’s personal ambitions, his emotions, the myths surrounding him and his influence to this day. From June 21 to September 1, the Van Gogh Museum’s Van Gogh Museum focuses on Sunflowers’ cult work. In the exhibition Van Gogh and the sunflowers fascinating stories about this painting and the exploration of the work are presented. Van Gogh had many heroes whose work he greatly admired. One of these artists was Jean-François Millet. From October 4, 2019, to January 12, 2020, the Van Gogh Museum will illuminate the works of the 19th-century French painter and major 19th-century artists featured in the Millet and Modern exhibition.
